Are potatoes good for weight gain?

My friends keep telling me that eating more potatoes will help me put on some weight. Trying to gain a few kilos for a healthier physique. Can I include them more in my daily diet?

Honestly don't stress too much about single foods yaar. Potatoes are great for putting on some healthy weight if you eat them cooked with ghee or butter. Just make sure u are eating enough overall and staying active, take it easy!

Actually I looked into this because I wanted to build muscle mass last year. My doctor explained that boiled potatoes are rich in clean carbs, but how you cook them matters. He suggested mashing them with full cream milk or a bit of paneer to bump up both calories and protein safely.

I was just reading about this last night because I want to gain some healthy weight too. It seems potatoes get a bad reputation but they are super high in complex carbs. If we add them to a high-calorie diet, they should definitely help us bulk up a bit.

I totally get it, gaining weight can be just as hard and frustrating as trying to lose it. Aloo was my absolute go-to when I was trying to stop looking so weak. Try making aloo parathas or adding potato to your daily sabzis, it makes a real difference without making you feel stuffed.

Yes, they can help quite a bit. Just try having them boiled or mashed with a little ghee during your lunch. Hope you find a healthy routine that works well for your body.
