Are pistachios good for pregnancy?

I'm in my first trimester and trying to eat as healthy as possible for the baby's development. I'm looking for nutritious snacks. Are pistachios a good option to include in a pregnancy diet?

They are quite good because they offer protein and folate which are essential now. Just keep an eye on portion sizes and make sure they aren't heavily salted to avoid fluid retention.

My mother-in-law advised eating dry fruits daily during my second trimester. However, do check with your gynecologist first during your routine checkup to ensure it suits your body.

My sister ate so many pistachios when she was pregnant. She said they really helped with her midnight salt cravings and were way healthier than chips.

It is completely normal to overthink everything you eat right now, I was the same way. Unsalted pistachios are perfectly safe and actually very nutritious for you and the baby.

I panicked so much when I accidentally ate a whole bowl of them in my first trimester. But my doctor laughed and said they are actually excellent for copper and iron. You are totally fine!

If you have any issues with gestational hypertension, make sure to buy raw, unsalted pistachios. Salt can spike your blood pressure, so keeping tabs on your pressure and diet is very important.
