Are phantom kicks a sign of pregnancy?

A few months after my baby was born, I sometimes feel sensations in my belly that feel exactly like fetal movements. I read online that these are called 'phantom kicks.' Does experiencing phantom kicks indicate anything, especially regarding another pregnancy?

I used to feel these fluttery sensations months after my delivery, and drinking warm ajwain water helped calm my stomach. They are usually just gas bubbles or muscle spasms, not a new pregnancy. If you are worried, a simple home test is best to be sure.

I have been feeling these weird fluttery sensations in my lower belly for a week now, even though my period was normal. Does anyone else get these phantom kicks and feel super anxious that they might be pregnant? I am too scared to take a test.

Honestly, half the time I feel 'kicks' in my stomach, it's just a heavy plate of chole bhature digesting or some serious gas! Unless you have a positive test, it's highly likely just digestive movements. Enjoy a light meal and see if the flutters go away.

Oh, phantom kicks are super common, especially for moms who recently had a baby! 🥰 Your uterine muscles and nerves are just settling down, or it's simply digestion. If you suspect a new pregnancy, a quick home test will clear your mind! ✨

In our time, we called this 'wind' or gas in the stomach. Drinking warm water with a little hing (asafoetida) can help settle the stomach muscles. If you have missed your monthly cycle, then only you should consider it a sign of pregnancy and visit a lady doctor.

Phantom kicks are usually just muscle twitches or digestion, especially if you have been pregnant before. Instead of spending money on expensive doctor visits or multiple scans right away, just buy a basic 50-rupee pregnancy test kit from the chemist. It's the most practical first step.
