Are mushrooms ok for pregnancy?

I'm pregnant and trying to be very careful about what I eat. I love mushrooms, but I've read some mixed opinions online; are mushrooms okay for pregnancy?

Yes, they are perfectly fine and actually provide good B vitamins which are helpful during pregnancy. Just make sure you wash them multiple times to remove any soil and cook them completely through. Avoid eating raw or undercooked mushrooms entirely.

Actually, mushrooms are totally fine during pregnancy, yaar. I had so many cravings for mushroom gravy when I was expecting. Just buy the fresh ones from a good store and make sure they are fully cooked, no raw stuff.

I am in my first trimester and feeling a bit anxious about what is safe to eat. Are standard button mushrooms from the local supermarket okay, or should we only buy organic ones? I would really appreciate any tips on how to clean them safely.

I've been craving mushroom soup so much lately but I read some scary things online about wild mushrooms and now I'm too scared to eat any. Did anyone else feel super anxious about eating mushrooms in their second trimester? Please let me know how you all managed your cravings safely.

I totally get it, you end up double-checking every single vegetable during these nine months because you only want the best for your baby. Mushrooms are generally safe and healthy, so try not to worry. Just focus on eating well-cooked meals and enjoy this special time.

As someone who had to manage high blood pressure during my pregnancy, I had to keep my diet very clean and low in sodium. Well-cooked mushrooms were a great option for me as they are low in salt and fat. Just make sure to get your regular checkups and monitor your BP alongside a healthy diet.

I had a very sensitive pregnancy with multiple complications, so my gynecologist put me on a very strict diet plan. She told me to be extremely cautious about mushrooms because of the risk of foodborne bacteria if not washed or cooked perfectly. Please ask your doctor before adding them to your diet.

Oh God, I overthink everything I eat and during my pregnancy I spent hours googling every single ingredient. Honestly, standard button mushrooms are safe if they are cooked really well, but to be completely stress-free, just double-check with your gynecologist at your next scan visit.
