Are hemp seeds safe during pregnancy?

To eat really healthy during my pregnancy, I often add seeds to my salads and smoothies. I recently came across hemp seeds, which are said to be very nutritious. Are hemp seeds safe for consumption while I'm pregnant?

I was actually looking into this recently because I just got my positive result. People say they are very healthy, but I am still too scared to try them. Has anyone here actually consumed them daily during their first trimester without any issues?

Beta, during these special months, it is always better to stick to traditional foods that our grandmothers trusted. Almonds, walnuts, and soaked raisins are very safe and tested over generations. If you want to try these new seeds, please consult your family doctor first.

My wife wanted to add hemp seeds to her morning smoothies to save time on nutrition during her pregnancy. We did a quick consult with her obstetrician who said they are fine in moderation but told us to buy from certified brands. Don't experiment with local, unbranded packets.

Honestly, hemp seeds can be quite expensive and hard to find in local shops. If you are looking for omega-3 and protein, simple flax seeds or chia seeds work just as well and are much cheaper. Just roast them lightly at home and add them to your curd.

Haan, safely khaa sakte ho, tension mat lo. My doctor told me they are great for protein, but excessive amounts digest nahi hote easily during pregnancy. Thoda limits mein hi rakhna, din mein ek chhota chammach is more than enough, na?

My sister was eating these like crazy during her pregnancy because someone online told her it makes the baby super smart. The baby is active, but mostly just at 3 AM! They are safe, just don't expect them to turn your kid into Einstein overnight.

According to the detailed nutritional chart our gynecologist gave us, hemp seeds are rich in healthy fats and proteins. She specifically told us that while they don't contain active THC, we must buy shelled hemp hearts from reputed brands to avoid any contamination issues. Start with a very small dose to see how your stomach reacts.

I completely understand why you are asking this, as I used to google literally every single ingredient before putting it in my mouth when I was pregnant. It is totally normal to feel anxious about this. They are generally considered safe, but if it is giving you sleepless nights, just skip them for peace of mind.
