Are facials ok during pregnancy?

I'm pregnant and really want to maintain my skincare routine and get a relaxing facial. My friend said some facial products might not be safe during pregnancy. Are facials generally okay to get when you're pregnant, or should I avoid them?

I panicked so much when I got a facial in my first trimester, thinking the chemicals would hurt my baby! But my doctor reassured me that basic hydrating, organic facials are totally fine. Just make sure to tell the parlor staff to avoid harsh chemical peels or salicylic acid.

It is completely normal to worry about every little thing you put on your skin during this sensitive time. Yes, mild facials are generally safe, but please make sure they don't use retinoids or heavy chemical peels. You can always ask the salon to use completely natural or fruit-based ingredients to ease your mind.

Actually, basic fruit facials or simple clean-ups are absolutely fine during pregnancy. Just strictly avoid any treatments involving microcurrents, lasers, or chemical peels like salicylic acid. Make sure you inform your aesthetician about your pregnancy beforehand so they choose safe products.

Having PCOS means my skin is already sensitive, and pregnancy hormones can make it react even more. I would suggest being very cautious with salon facials; sometimes a simple fruit massage at home is safer. If you do go to a salon, double-check that they use pregnancy-safe, organic brands.

Instead of paying thousands for expensive salon facials which might have chemicals, I prefer doing a simple besan and dahi pack at home. It is practically free, 100% safe for the baby, and saves you money for those upcoming hospital test costs. Simple and budget-friendly is best!

When I was pregnant, I got mild herbal facials to help relax my tired skin and mind. It is completely fine as long as they don't use harsh bleaching agents or hot steam for too long. Just make sure the salon chair is comfortable for your back so you can relax safely.
