Are black spots on teeth always cavities?

I just noticed some small black spots on one of my back teeth while brushing. I'm worried it might be a cavity already. Does every black spot on a tooth mean it's a cavity, or can it be something else?

Nah bro, not always. I had a tiny black dot last semester and freaked out thinking it's a cavity, but my dentist told me it was just a stubborn tea stain. Just go get a clean-up done and don't stress.

Sometimes these spots are simply natural pits on the tooth surface or harmless staining from food. Keeping a peaceful mind and practicing daily oil pulling can help oral hygiene, but do let a dentist evaluate it.

Actually, it's not always a cavity, yaar. I had these weird spots on my molars and got so worried, but they were just deep grooves stained from eating chocolate and drinking black coffee. A quick dentist checkup sorted it.

I see this question a lot here. It can indeed be a cavity, but arrested decay or simple food stains look exactly the same. The only real way to know is a quick dentist visit, so book an appointment this week.

If there's no pain or sensitivity when you drink cold water, it might just be staining. Don't go for expensive treatments right away; just visit a local dentist for a basic scaling first to see if it rubs off.

Look, don't keep staring in the mirror and worrying. It could be a cavity, or it could just be stain from your daily chai. Only a dentist with his tools can tell, so go get it checked and finish the suspense.

I literally just got this checked last week! I was convinced I had three cavities, but the doctor laughed and said they were just deep stains. They polished them off in five minutes, so don't worry.

I tried rinsing with salt water and turmeric when I saw black spots, thinking they would go away. But if it is a real cavity, no home remedy can fix it. Please go to a dentist before the decay reaches the root.
