Are beets good for pregnancy?

I'm newly pregnant and trying to ensure I eat the best foods for myself and the baby. My mother-in-law suggested including beets in my diet for iron and general health. Are beets considered good and safe during pregnancy?

Hey, congrats! Yes, beetroots are totally awesome during pregnancy because of the folic acid and iron. Don't stress too much, just have a little bit of beetroot salad or juice regularly and enjoy this beautiful phase!

I totally get it, you want to be extra careful about everything you eat right now. Beetroots are very safe and actually super helpful for keeping your hemoglobin levels up. Just wash them really well before eating to avoid any infections.

Yes, beetroots are highly recommended in pregnancy as they are rich in iron and folic acid which help in baby's development.

Beetroot is a nutritionally dense food, rich in vitamin C, iron, and fiber, which are highly beneficial during pregnancy. However, to ensure it suits your specific health profile, it is always best to discuss your overall diet plan with your gynecologist.

Beetroots are great for nutrients during pregnancy, but if you have thyroid issues like me, make sure you are getting your regular blood tests done. Always keep your endocrinologist and gynecologist in the loop about your diet and supplements.
