Would a tooth infection cause neck pain?

I've had a really bad toothache for a few days, and now my neck is starting to feel stiff and painful. Could this be related to my tooth? Can a tooth infection cause neck pain?

Yes, actually it can! My dentist explained this to me when I had a similar problem. Infections, especially in upper molars, can sometimes cause referred pain that radiates to your jaw, ear, and even down to your neck. It's because of the nerve pathways in that area. Best to get it checked out by a doc soon to confirm.

My son had this last year! He had a bad cavity and then started complaining about neck stiffness and pain on one side. We thought it was just from sleeping wrong, but turns out the dental infection was spreading. The dentist gave him antibiotics and did a root canal, and the neck pain went away quickly after that. Don't delay, please get it checked.

Oh, really? I didn't know a tooth infection could cause pain in the neck. I've been having some toothache and now a mild stiffness in my neck too. Is it common for the pain to spread like that? I should probably visit a dentist then.

For mild aches, sometimes warm salt water rinses or clove oil can help with tooth pain temporarily. But if it's severe enough to cause neck pain, that sounds like a more serious infection. It's always better to see a dentist for something like this; they can prescribe proper treatment before it gets worse.

Haan ji, bilkul ho sakta hai! Mere ek dost ko bhi hua tha yehi. Uska daant mein infection tha aur gardan mein bhi dard hone laga tha ek side. Aisa hota hai na ki body mein nerves ek doosre se connected hote hain. Toh please doctor ko dikha lo, serious baat hai ye.
