Will your blood pressure be normal during a heart attack?

My father had a heart attack recently, and his blood pressure was normal right before it happened. I always thought high blood pressure was a clear sign. Can someone really have a heart attack even if their blood pressure is normal?

A heart attack is a major event for the body, and it's highly improbable for blood pressure to remain normal. It usually fluctuates drastically. Maintaining a heart-healthy diet with lots of greens can help prevent such situations, but if you suspect a heart attack, medical help is the only way.

If my blood pressure was normal during a heart attack, I'd probably be more confused than in pain! 😂 But seriously, no, it's highly unlikely. Your body goes haywire. So, normal BP during a suspected attack? Highly doubtful.

Oh no, absolutely not! Your body goes into super distress mode, so BP will be all over the place, high or low, but definitely not 'normal'. If you feel any chest pain, just go to the doctor ASAP! 🚑 Take care! ❤️

Na, baba, how can BP be normal during heart attack? Body is fighting, so BP will go up or down. It's a very serious thing, haan. Don't wait for BP or anything, if chest pain comes, go to hospital quickly, na.

I once thought my chest pain was just acidity and didn't bother checking my BP. Turned out it was a minor heart episode. Please, never assume. During a heart attack, BP is usually erratic. If you have symptoms, rush to the hospital immediately, don't regret it later like I almost did.

My cardiologist clearly explained that during a heart attack, BP can be high, low, or fluctuate significantly, but it's very rarely 'normal' in the typical sense. Don't ever use BP as the sole indicator. If you have chest pain, arm pain, or shortness of breath, rush to a good hospital immediately.

When I had my heart attack, my BP shot up really high at first because of the pain and panic, and then it dipped. It was nowhere near normal. So no, don't expect it to be normal. Any suspicion means emergency care, immediately.
