Will white blood cells be elevated with cancer?

My neighbour was just diagnosed with cancer, and her white blood cell count was high. I'm worried because I'm due for my annual check-up soon. Will white blood cells always be elevated if someone has cancer, or can they be normal?

When I was going through my treatment, my WBC count was indeed affected, sometimes high, sometimes low, depending on the stage and treatment. But a high WBC can also mean a simple infection. Don't panic, get it checked by a specialist.

My family member had a high WBC count, and it turned out to be an infection that needed proper medical attention. While cancer is a possibility, it's not the only one. It's crucial to consult a doctor who can order more specific tests and give an accurate diagnosis.

Yaar, my friend had high WBC for a while, and it was just a bad infection, not cancer. So don't immediately think the worst. But yes, always show the reports to a proper doc. Google search se zyada tension hi milta hai, actually.
