Will urgent care give pain meds for back pain?

I've had this terrible back pain since yesterday, and it's making it hard to move. I went to a local urgent care clinic, hoping to get some immediate relief. Do urgent care centers typically prescribe pain medication for severe back pain, or will they just send me home?

For sure, urgent care centers usually can provide pain medication for back pain, especially if it's acute and severe. They'll assess your condition, rule out anything serious, and can prescribe muscle relaxants or stronger painkillers if needed. Just be clear about your pain level and history.

Back pain is the worst, can't even sit comfortably to enjoy my chai and samosa! Yes, urgent care will usually give you something for the pain, maybe even stronger stuff if it's really bad. Anything to get you comfortable enough to, you know, live life normally again!

Yes, urgent care can give you pain medication for back pain, but be aware they might also suggest imaging like X-rays, which can add to the bill. If your pain is manageable, consider starting with basic painkillers and cold/hot packs, otherwise, yes, urgent care is an option for quicker relief and initial diagnosis.

My son had a bad back spasm once, and we rushed him to urgent care. They did give him pain meds and a muscle relaxant, which helped a lot. They'll probably check you out first to make sure it's nothing more serious, but yes, they can provide relief. Don't suffer if it's bad.

Dude, I had crazy back pain after lifting weights wrong. Went to urgent care, and they hooked me up with some strong painkillers and a muscle relaxer. It definitely helped me sleep that night. So yeah, they do give meds for back pain.
