Will prednisone affect thyroid test?

I'm on medication for my thyroid, and I also recently started a short course of prednisone for an inflammatory condition. I'm due for my thyroid blood test soon. Will the prednisone affect my thyroid test results, making them inaccurate?

Yaar, actually steroids like prednisone can mess with so many things in your body, thyroid tests are definitely one of them. My doc always says to mention all meds before any blood tests. Better safe than sorry!

Hello didi, achha hua aapne pooch liya. Mujhe lagta hai koi bhi dawai le rahe ho toh doctor ko batana hi chahiye. Unko pata hota hai kaise impact hoga tests pe.

I totally get it, it's so confusing with medicines and tests! My friend was on prednisone once and her thyroid levels were all over the place. Turns out the medicine was affecting it. Definitely check with your doctor, they'll know exactly how to interpret your results.

Namaste. It's always best to be truthful and clear with your doctor about all medicines you are taking. Prednisone is a strong medicine. Stay positive, keep faith, and let your doctor guide you for accurate test results and good health.

Um, hi everyone. I'm new to this. So, if someone is on prednisone, should they stop it before the thyroid test or just tell the doctor? I'm a bit worried about my aunt who's taking something similar.
