Will pepto help vomiting?

My younger brother has been feeling really sick since morning, vomited twice already. Someone suggested giving him this Pepto-Bismol. I'm wondering if it will actually help him feel better and stop the vomiting?

Pepto-Bismol can often help with nausea and upset stomach, which might reduce the urge to vomit if it's due to indigestion or mild stomach issues. However, if the vomiting is severe or persistent, it's not a magical cure. You'll need to see a doctor quickly to figure out the cause and get proper treatment.

I had a bad stomach bug last month, and Pepto did help a bit with the nausea and just settling my stomach. It didn't stop the vomiting instantly, but it definitely made me feel less miserable and allowed me to keep some water down eventually. For serious, non-stop vomiting though, please get to a doctor fast.

Yeah, usually it helps with upset stomach and nausea. I've used it when I've eaten something dodgy and felt like throwing up, and it calmed things down. But if you're like, continuously throwing up or have fever, then you definitely need to see a doc, not just take Pepto.

Pepto-Bismol can provide symptomatic relief for mild vomiting, especially if it's related to indigestion, heartburn, or diarrhea. It works by coating the stomach lining. However, it's crucial to understand that it treats symptoms, not the underlying cause. For severe or prolonged vomiting, a proper medical diagnosis is essential.

I can only speak from my experience, but when I've had an upset stomach with nausea, Pepto has helped ease that uncomfortable feeling. It made me feel less like I was going to vomit. But I'm not a doctor, so if it's serious, please see one!
