Will a warm bath help a fever?

My son has a slight fever today, and I'm trying to help him feel more comfortable. My mother-in-law suggested giving him a warm bath. Will a warm bath actually help to bring down a fever, or is it better to stick to other methods?

I've heard mixed things about this! Some say yes, if it's lukewarm, not hot, to help cool down. But then others say it can make you colder when you get out. I'm always researching these little home remedies, it's so interesting.

A lukewarm bath can help alleviate discomfort from a fever, but it's more for symptomatic relief than a cure. Like with thyroid issues, where symptoms can be tricky, it's important to address the root cause. If the fever persists or is very high, consult a doctor for diagnosis and proper treatment.

When you're dealing with a fever, it can be really draining and you'll try anything for relief. A lukewarm bath can sometimes feel good and help cool you down a bit. It won't get rid of the fever, but it might make you feel less miserable for a while, which is important when you're feeling unwell.

Sweetheart, a lukewarm bath can definitely help you feel more comfortable when you have a fever. It helps to bring the body temperature down a little. Just ensure the water isn't too cold, as that can make you shiver. Take it easy and rest well afterwards.

A lukewarm bath, not hot, can help bring a fever down temporarily. It helps dissipate body heat. Just make sure the water isn't cold, that can cause shivering which actually increases body temperature. And dry off quickly afterwards! Always useful for comfort.

Fevers can be really worrying, I completely understand that anxiety. A lukewarm bath can sometimes offer temporary relief by cooling your skin, but it won't cure the underlying cause. Don't make it too cold, that can shock your system. Focus on comfort and resting, and definitely see a doctor if the fever is high or persistent.
