Why sleep on left side?

I've heard that sleeping on your left side is healthier. My grandmother also always told me this. Can anyone explain what benefits there are to sleeping on the left side?

I totally get it, trying to figure out the best sleeping position can be confusing! But sleeping on your left side is often recommended because it helps with digestion – gravity helps food move through your system. Plus, it's good for circulation, especially if you're pregnant, as it takes pressure off major blood vessels. It sounds like a small thing, but it makes a difference.

Ho na, left side pe sone ke bahut benefits hain. Digestion ke liye bahut achha hai. Apne stomach ka shape hi aisa hai, left side mein gravity se food aage move karta hai. Aur pregnancy mein toh bolte hain ki baby ko bhi achha blood flow milta hai.

It's simple, left side sleeping is good for digestion because of how your stomach is shaped. It helps food and waste move efficiently. Also, for pregnant women, it helps blood flow to the baby. So, if you can, try to sleep on your left. A pillow between the knees helps keep you in position.

My doctor actually explained this in detail. Sleeping on the left side aids in lymphatic drainage, which helps in detoxification. It also improves digestion by allowing gravity to assist the movement of waste products from the small intestine to the large intestine. Additionally, it can reduce heartburn and acid reflux symptoms, as the stomach is positioned below the esophagus.

Arre, after a heavy biryani or a yummy thali, sleeping on the left side is a blessing! It helps with digestion, apparently. Keeps all those delicious food items moving through your system nicely, instead of causing heartburn. So you can wake up ready for more food, haha!
