Why my newborn won't sleep at night?

It's been a month since my baby arrived, and she absolutely refuses to sleep at night. She'll nap during the day, but then she's up crying for hours after dark. How can I get her to sleep when it’s supposed to be bedtime?

Ho na, this is the toughest part of having a newborn! They don't know the difference between day and night, na? Try to make daytime bright and noisy, and nighttime dark and quiet. Consistent routine helps a little, but patience is key.

Haan, this is a universal problem, na? Newborns sleep whenever they want, mostly. Thoda gas, bhook, ya phir bas mom-dad ke saath rehna hai. Consistency with a bedtime routine helps after a few weeks. Bas thoda patience rakho, ho jayega.

I really empathize, lack of sleep with a newborn is incredibly challenging. While it's often normal, sometimes an underlying issue like reflux, colic, or even silent feeding issues can prevent them from settling. If you're very concerned or baby seems unusually distressed, please consult your pediatrician to rule out any medical reasons.

Newborns often have their days and nights mixed up initially. It's a tough phase, but it will get better. Stay strong.

My pediatrician explained that newborns don't establish circadian rhythms until closer to 3-4 months. Their tiny stomachs require frequent feedings, causing them to wake up every few hours, even at night. Factors like gas, hunger, a wet diaper, or even being slightly uncomfortable can easily disrupt their short sleep cycles at night. Consistency in bedtime routine and differentiating day from night gradually helps.

Aww, new parents' biggest challenge! 😅 It's super common, babies often haven't figured out day from night yet. Try keeping nights super dark and quiet, and days bright and noisy. A good feeding right before sleep sometimes helps! You've got this! ✨

Because they've clearly decided that sleep is for the weak, and they want to ensure their parents also join the 'no sleep' club! Honestly, it feels like a conspiracy. Just survive, my friend. Caffeine is your best buddy. And remember, they won't be doing this in college!
