Why most adults should get tested for hepatitis c?

I saw a poster at the local clinic saying that most adults should get tested for Hepatitis C. I thought it was a rare disease. Why is it recommended for most adults to get tested for it?

Yaar, actually hepatitis C can be like a silent killer, no symptoms for a long time. People don't even know they have it. So, better to get tested and be safe, especially if you ever had any blood transfusions before like, 1992 or anything that involved needles. Precaution is better, na?

Look, as busy professionals, we often skip things we think aren't urgent. But Hepatitis C testing is a quick blood test and it can prevent serious liver problems down the line. It's a small investment of time for major peace of mind and health protection. Just get it done during your annual checkup.

Hepatitis C can hide in your body for years without showing clear signs, silently damaging your liver. That's why it's so important for adults, especially those in certain age groups or with specific risk factors, to get tested. It's a treatable condition if caught early, so testing can literally save your liver and your life.

I know someone who only found out they had Hepatitis C very late, and by then, the liver damage was quite serious. It's truly scary because it progresses without much warning. Please, if you have any doubts or risk factors, go see a doctor and get tested. Early detection is key to managing it.

I completely get it if the thought of getting tested makes you anxious. I always worry about these things. But with Hepatitis C, many people don't even know they have it until it's quite advanced. So, getting tested is actually empowering, because then you know and can take action. It's better to know, even if it feels scary.
