Why is smoking and diabetes a bad combination?

My husband has had diabetes for many years, and he still smokes sometimes despite all our requests to stop. The doctor always stresses how bad it is for him, but I want to understand the exact reasons why smoking and diabetes together are such a dangerous combination.

Dude, smoking messes up your blood vessels big time, and diabetes already makes them weak. It's like pouring petrol on a small fire, everything just gets worse really fast. For good health, both have to go. Exercise helps a lot with blood sugar, just saying.

Please, please, if you're dealing with both, get serious about it. I ignored some signs years ago, and trust me, the consequences are not worth it. Smoking adds so much extra strain to your body when diabetes is already there. Talk to a doc immediately, don't wait like I did.

Oh god, this is like combining a rich mithai with extra sugar! Both are bad for you separately, but together? I imagine the damage is exponential. It's tough to cut down on habits, but for health, we all have to make some sacrifices eventually. Maybe replace smoking with a healthy snack, haha!

Bhaiyya, smoking makes your blood thick and sugar already makes it bad for the body. My mother always said to avoid both if you want to live a long, healthy life. It puts a lot of pressure on the heart and other parts. Please take care of yourself.

My grandmother used to say, 'poison with sugar is still poison'. It means, both are harmful individually, but together they cause much more damage to the body. It is important to listen to doctors for advice on both, as they understand the deeper connections.

I always heard it was really bad, like, super bad for your heart and eyes. Does anyone else get anxious thinking about how many things can go wrong if you have both? I feel like it just multiplies all the risks. It's a scary thought.
