Why is nature good for mental health?

My therapist recommended spending more time in nature for stress relief. I'm curious, why exactly is being in nature considered good for mental health? Is there scientific backing to this?

Being in nature is amazing for peace of mind, definitely! It's like a detox for your brain. And pair that with fresh air and maybe some healthy snacks, it's a winning combo. Just ensure you're not eating anything unhealthy while enjoying the outdoors!

Honestly, when I feel stressed, even just sitting in my balcony with plants helps so much. It's like the quietness and greenery just calm everything down. It’s like a free home remedy for the mind!

Dearest, nature has this way of reminding us of life's simple beauty. It reduces stress, improves mood, and helps us feel connected. Just a walk in a park can do wonders when you're feeling low. Don't underestimate its power.
