Why is my dandruff shampoo not working?

Been using this anti-dandruff shampoo for almost two months now, but I still have so much dandruff. My hair is getting dry too, but the flakes are still there. Am I doing something wrong or should I switch shampoos?

I can only share my experience, not give advice. My anti-dandruff shampoo stopped working too, and it was so frustrating. I switched to a different brand with a different active ingredient, and that seemed to help. Sometimes it's just about finding the right one, or maybe your scalp needs something else now.

Betaji, sometimes the same thing doesn't work forever. Our bodies change, environment changes. It happened to me too, one shampoo worked for years then suddenly nothing. Try changing the brand or ingredients. If it persists, then a doctor can help.

This is a classic problem! Dandruff can become resistant to certain ingredients. If your current shampoo isn't working, try one with a different active ingredient like selenium sulfide or ketoconazole. Also, ensure you're leaving it on for a few minutes before rinsing. If it's still stubborn, see a dermatologist.

Same thing happened to me last year! My old shampoo just stopped working. I went to a dermatologist, and she said my scalp had become resistant to that ingredient. She prescribed a medicated shampoo, and it cleared right up. So, definitely a good idea to see a specialist.

Sometimes, when our bodies are stressed or out of balance, even common products stop having an effect. Dandruff can be related to inner harmony too. While you explore other shampoos, consider if stress or diet is playing a part. But if no shampoo helps, a doctor can guide you better.
