I've been reading up on this, and it seems like societal expectations play a huge role. Men are often expected to be providers and protectors, and admitting vulnerability doesn't fit that mold. It's a tough situation for them.
Honestly, I feel like from a young age, boys are told 'don't cry', 'be strong'. It kinda makes it hard to talk about feelings later. Like, who wants to seem weak, no?
In our culture, men are often seen as the strong pillars, so talking about feelings can be difficult. My grandmother always said, 'Share your burdens, it lightens the heart.' But for serious issues, it's always good to see a doctor. They know best.
I think it's a mix of things, from upbringing to cultural norms. But whatever the reason, it's serious. For any mental health concerns, it's always best to consult a professional, not just rely on what's discussed online.
Beyond societal aspects, sometimes diet and lifestyle also contribute to mood, but it's not the full picture for mental health. Men often ignore even basic physical health cues, let alone mental ones. We need to encourage holistic well-being.
