Why is it named tropic of cancer?

We were discussing geographical terms in school, and the question of why the 'Tropic of Cancer' is named that came up. Our teacher gave a brief explanation, but I'm still a bit confused about the 'Cancer' part. Can anyone elaborate?

Oh, this is a geography question, not a health one. It's a line on the Earth. Don't worry, it has nothing to do with the disease 'cancer'. Sometimes, similar-sounding words can confuse us, haan?

Is this a trick question? Because 'tropic of cancer' sounds like a fancy way to say 'no sleep zone' for your brain cells! But seriously, it's just a geographical line, named after a star constellation, nothing to do with health. Phew!

This is a term from geography, marking a line on the globe, not related to the medical condition. It's important to differentiate these terms clearly, especially in health discussions. If ever in doubt about medical terms, always consult a medical professional for clarity.

Please know this is a geographical term and has no connection to the disease. My advice is related to health: if you have any health worries because of names like these, always clarify with a doctor. Don't ignore or assume.

Oh, 'Tropic of Cancer' sounds like a really intense beach holiday gone wrong, right? But nope, it's just a fancy name for a line on our planet, named after a constellation, not the big C. So no need to pack your emergency medical kit for that 'tropic'!

It's a line on the map, beta, not a disease. When I was in school, they taught us this. The sun is directly overhead there on a particular day. Sometimes words are similar but meanings are very different. Don't get confused.

Yaar, actually it's a geographical line on Earth, ek imaginary line. It's named after the constellation Cancer, which the sun was in when the summer solstice happened long back. Nothing to do with the disease, tension mat lo!
