Why does vomiting relieve migraine?

My cousin suffers from chronic migraines, and she says that sometimes when she vomits, the intensity of her migraine attack reduces significantly. Is there a medical explanation for why vomiting can bring relief from a migraine?

Haha, it's like your body is saying 'Okay, I've had enough of this migraine nonsense, time for a full system reset!' Seriously though, it's a weird but common thing with migraines. Hope you feel better soon!

Many migraine sufferers do experience vomiting. After that, sometimes the pressure feels less. For me, managing migraines involves carefully watching my diet, avoiding triggers like processed foods and excessive caffeine. Always consult your doctor for proper diagnosis and advice.

It's like your body's emergency relief valve! 😅 For some people, that intense pressure from a migraine just needs to be released. Hope you find relief faster next time! Take care! ✨

Migraines can be very complex, and often stomach upset is part of it. I have thyroid issues, and my doctor always stresses how interconnected our body systems are. If you have severe migraines, please keep up with regular check-ups and doctor follow-ups to rule out anything else.

My son gets severe migraines and often vomits with them. The doctors said it's common, and sometimes the act of vomiting can temporarily reduce the headache intensity or stomach discomfort associated with the migraine. We always make sure he rests and rehydrates after.
