Why does vomiting relieve headaches?

Sometimes when I have a really bad headache, especially one that feels like a migraine, I end up vomiting. And after I vomit, the headache actually feels a little better. Why does this happen?

Honestly, I've heard some people say that for really bad headaches or migraines, vomiting can sometimes make them feel a bit better. Maybe it's like a reset for the body? Don't stress too much, but if it's frequent, worth a check-up.

For me, sometimes when my headache is absolutely unbearable, after vomiting I feel a temporary relief. I don't know the reason why, but it has happened. My doctor always said to just focus on resting after.

Well, for me, if I ever have a headache so bad I feel sick, I have to be careful about what I eat or drink afterwards, especially with my diabetes. Hydration is key, but avoid sugary drinks. If it's a regular thing, get it checked by a doc.

If you're getting headaches so bad that they lead to vomiting, that's not something to take lightly. It's always best to consult a doctor. Don't self-diagnose based on how you feel after, please get it checked for safety.
