Why does psoriasis occur?

My father has been diagnosed with psoriasis, and it looks quite uncomfortable. We're trying to understand more about this condition. Why does psoriasis occur, what causes the skin to behave like that?

Psoriasis is basically an autoimmune condition. Your immune system mistakenly attacks healthy skin cells, causing them to grow too quickly. It's genetic and can be triggered by stress, infections, or certain medications. Best to see a dermatologist for diagnosis.

It's an immune system thing where skin cells grow super fast! 😊 Not contagious at all, but it can be triggered by various factors. Don't get too stressed, lots of treatments available these days. Hope you find some relief! ✨

Please, if you have any symptoms, get it checked by a skin specialist immediately. I had some patches initially, thought it was just dry skin, and ignored it for too long. It got worse. Early diagnosis makes a huge difference in managing it.

It's an immune system issue, dear. Your body thinks your skin cells are foreign invaders, so it overproduces them. It's not your fault, and many people live with it. Just make sure to consult a doctor, they can help you manage it well. Don't be scared.
