Why does my lab have dandruff?
My Labrador, Buddy, has been having a lot of flaky skin and white specks in his fur lately. It looks just like dandruff. Is there something specific I should be doing for him or should I take him to the vet?

Dandruff in labs? Haha, maybe it's just really stressed from all the experiments, yaar. My head has dandruff when I'm sleep deprived, so maybe the lab needs a good nap too. Seriously though, maybe a humidifier or something?

If it's a Labrador, could be dry skin. My friend's lab had it too. Check their diet and if it's getting enough hydration. If it persists, a quick vet visit is the most efficient way to get it sorted, saves time trying random things.
Oh, my lab had dandruff just last month! Turned out it was just really dry skin from the winter. The vet recommended a special omega-3 supplement and a gentle oatmeal shampoo. Cleared up in like two weeks, thankfully!
