Why does eczema itch so bad?

My cousin suffers from eczema, and he complains constantly about how intensely it itches. He says it's way more severe than just dry skin itch. Why does eczema cause such incredibly bad itching?

The itch with eczema is truly awful because your skin barrier is damaged and inflamed. This makes nerve endings hypersensitive, and they just scream 'itch!' constantly. Like with thyroid, regular check-ups with a dermatologist are crucial to find the right treatment to manage this intense itching.

I really regret ignoring my eczema itching for so long. It led to constant scratching, skin breaks, and even infections. The itch is so bad because your skin is inflamed and dry, and its protective barrier is broken. Please, don't ignore it like I did. See a doctor to get proper treatment and relief.

Ah, eczema. It's a very stubborn itch, my dear. It makes you want to scratch till you bleed. This happens because the skin is very dry and its natural protection is weak. The nerves under the skin get very irritated. Just keep it moisturized and follow the doctor's advice, it will get better.

Eczema itch is basically your skin having a full-blown tantrum! It's so bad because your skin barrier is like a broken fence, letting all the irritants in, and those nerve endings just go wild. Sometimes I feel like it's a competition between me and my eczema on who can be more annoying. Moisturise, moisturise, moisturise!

The itch is intense because eczema means your skin's protective barrier is compromised, making it very dry and prone to inflammation. This causes nerve endings to send strong itch signals. I use my health tracker to log my flare-ups and note down what triggers them and what helps. It's all about understanding your body's signals.

The skin, our largest organ, reflects our inner state. With eczema, the skin's protective layer becomes weak, inviting much irritation, leading to intense itching. Gentle breathing exercises and finding calm can help manage the stress that often worsens skin conditions, alongside gentle, natural moisturisers. But for severe itching, a doctor's guidance is also important.

Dude, I literally just got over a bad eczema flare-up, and the itching was insane! It's because your skin gets super dry and inflamed, and the nerve endings there get overactive. My doctor gave me some cream that finally calmed it down. Don't try to just tolerate it, get it treated.

Haan, the eczema itch is really bad because your skin barrier is not working properly. It's dry, inflamed, and the nerve endings are very sensitive. This is not something to just ignore. You need to use proper creams and keep skin moisturized. See a doctor, don't suffer.
