Why do some people dont mind pain?

I have a very low pain tolerance, but my husband can handle so much! He barely flinches at injuries. Why do some people don't mind pain as much as others?

This is really interesting. From my understanding, pain tolerance can be very individual. It might be due to psychological factors, like how they perceive pain, or even physiological differences in their nervous system. Some people just have a higher pain threshold. It's not about being 'tough' always, but how their body processes it. There's still a lot we don't fully understand.

Pain tolerance is very individual, true. Hormonal imbalances, like those with thyroid issues, can sometimes alter how your body perceives things, including pain. While it's largely psychological and genetic, if someone has a sudden change in pain sensitivity, it might be worth mentioning to a doctor during their regular check-ups, just to rule out any underlying physiological reasons.

Dude, for real! I have this one friend who barely flinches if he cuts himself, while I scream if I get a paper cut. I think it's just how some people are wired, or maybe they just learned to ignore it. Like, if you're used to a lot of small pains, maybe your brain just tunes it out.

It's quite fascinating, isn't it? Pain perception varies greatly from person to person. It's not necessarily that they don't 'mind' it, but their brain might process it differently, or they've developed coping mechanisms. Things like mindset, past experiences, and even genetics play a role. It's a complex interaction between the body and mind.

Yaar, actually, pain is so subjective. Some people just have a higher pain tolerance, maybe because of their genetics or even their upbringing. Like, some cultures teach you to be stoic. Plus, distractions can play a big role. If your mind is busy, you might not feel the pain as much. It's all in the head sometimes!
