Why do people groan in their sleep?

My roommate sometimes groans quite loudly in her sleep, which I've found a bit strange. It doesn't seem like she's in pain. Is there a reason why people groan in their sleep?

Haha, maybe they're dreaming they're lifting weights, or arguing with their boss! Jokes aside, sometimes it's called catathrenia, where people groan during exhale. Usually harmless, but if it's super loud or accompanied by breathing issues, maybe they're just too dramatic even in sleep. Or need a doc, for peace of mind!

Sleep groaning, or catathrenia, can be bothersome. It's not usually linked to diabetes directly, but disturbed sleep in general can affect blood sugar levels. So if it's impacting sleep quality, it's worth checking with a doctor. A balanced diet and regular routine helps with overall sleep.

Hey, don't stress too much about groaning in sleep! It's actually a known thing called catathrenia. It's usually harmless and people often don't even know they do it. If it's really loud or comes with other weird stuff, then maybe check with a doctor, but mostly it's just a quirky sleep habit. ❤️

Bhai, it's called catathrenia, ek type ki sleep disorder hai. Usually harmless, sound is during exhaling. Agar bohot disturb kar raha hai, ya koi aur breathing problem hai toh doctor se baat karlo. Stress bhi ek factor ho sakta hai.

Haan na, some people do groan in their sleep, it's actually a sleep-related breathing disorder called catathrenia. Mostly it's harmless, just a sound they make while exhaling. Agar bohot zyada ho raha hai, ya kisi ko disturb ho raha hai, then maybe a doctor can help figure out if anything else is going on.
