Why do people eat liver?

I grew up in a vegetarian family, so eating liver is something I've never understood. My non-vegetarian friends say it's good for you. Why do people eat liver, and are there any health benefits?

Hah, people eat liver because they're told it's a 'superfood' with iron and vitamins. Me? I'd rather have a nap than eat liver, but my wife keeps insisting. The things we do for 'health', right?

It's often for the nutritional benefits, especially iron. I remember when I was anemic, my doctor strongly recommended it. It wasn't my favorite, but I tried to incorporate it for my health. It can be hard to stomach for some.

Yaar, actually it's full of nutrients, especially B12 and iron. My grandma used to say it's good for 'khoon badhana'. Kuch log ko taste bhi pasand aata hai, I guess. I can't stand it, but my uncle loves it.

People eat liver because it's a powerhouse of nutrients! 💪 So much iron and vitamins! My mom makes a delicious liver curry, and it's surprisingly good. If you're okay with the taste, it's a great addition to your diet. 😊

I totally get why some people would eat it. It's packed with vitamins, especially Vitamin A, and iron which is crucial. For those who can get past the taste and texture, it's a very nutrient-dense food, especially if you're looking to boost energy or address deficiencies.

For people like me managing health conditions, liver is often recommended for its high protein and low carbohydrate content, which helps with blood sugar management. It's also great for boosting iron levels, but portion control is important as it's rich.

My kids were a bit anemic, and the doctor suggested incorporating liver into their diet for iron. I make small portions and mix it into keema sometimes so they don't even realize. It's really for the nutritional value, not always because they love the taste.
