Why do newborns twitch in their sleep?

Our little one often twitches quite a bit in his sleep, small jerky movements of his hands or legs. My wife is a bit concerned. Is it normal for newborns to twitch like this during sleep?

Newborn twitches are very common, often part of their light sleep or REM sleep cycles as their nervous system develops. It's usually not related to diet directly, but ensuring good nutrition for the mother (if breastfeeding) or the right formula supports overall healthy development. Always monitor and consult your pediatrician if concerned.

I remember seeing my baby twitch and wondering if something was wrong. It can be quite unnerving when you don't know why it's happening. But it's really reassuring to hear that it's a normal part of their development and not a sign of distress.

Arre, chote bachche toh aise hi karte hain! They twitch and make funny faces. My nani always said it means they're growing strong. It's just their tiny bodies figuring things out, don't worry too much, betaji.

Those twitches are very common, especially during active sleep (REM). It's a sign of their developing nervous system. Some baby trackers even record sleep patterns and alert you if anything seems outside the normal range. But usually, it's just baby stuff!

Haha, maybe they're dreaming about their next big milk feast! But seriously, those little twitches are usually just their tiny muscles contracting during light sleep. It's a completely normal part of their development.

Hey, don't worry about those little twitches; it's completely normal for newborns. Their nervous system is still maturing, and these small movements are often seen during light sleep. It's rarely a concern unless it's prolonged or affects their breathing. Just enjoy watching your little one grow.

My nephew used to twitch a lot when he was a baby, and his mom was told it was completely normal. I'm not a doctor, but it seemed like part of being a little baby. It usually didn't bother him at all.
