Why do i slobber so much when i sleep?

I've been told by my roommate that I slobber quite a lot when I'm sleeping. I didn't even realize it was happening! Is there a reason why some people slobber more than others during sleep?

Oh, I also sometimes wake up with a wet pillow. It's a bit embarrassing, but I never thought it could be a real 'thing'. Is it like, serious or something?

Yaar, same here sometimes! Especially if I'm super tired. I think it's just how u sleep, like some people snore, some drool. But actually, if it's every night, maybe check posture or something?

Namaste! My grandmother used to say it means you're sleeping very deeply. But honestly, if it's bothering you, best to check with a doctor. Always good to rule out anything. My family doctor is very helpful for these small things.

Sometimes it's just simple things like congestion or even how you hold your mouth. Try to clear your nasal passages before bed, maybe with steam. If you find it's a new or consistent issue, mentioning it during your next general check-up could be a good idea.

Greetings. Often, breathing through the mouth during sleep can cause this. Practicing Nadi Shodhana pranayama before bed can help clear nasal passages and encourage nasal breathing naturally. This brings balance to the breath and might reduce slobbering.

Honestly, I used to worry about this too! For me, it was just when I was super exhausted. Once I got my sleep schedule better, it happened less. Can't give advice, just my own experience.

Could be your sleeping position or a blocked nose forcing you to breathe through your mouth. Try sleeping on your back with a slightly elevated pillow. If it persists or causes discomfort, a quick doctor visit might be useful to rule out any underlying issues.
