Why do i get psoriasis in the winter?

My psoriasis flares up terribly every winter. The dryness and cold seem to make it so much worse. Is there a scientific reason why winter affects psoriasis this way?

Psoriasis can really flare up with changes in weather. In winter, less sunlight and dry air are big triggers. I focus on keeping my skin hydrated, eating anti-inflammatory foods like turmeric and omega-3s, and staying active to keep stress down. Not medical advice, just what works for general well-being.

Oh, I've heard about this! It's because winter usually means less sun exposure (Vitamin D!), and the dry air can really irritate skin conditions like psoriasis. So your skin gets more flaky and inflamed. It sounds tough to deal with.

Girl, same! My skin gets so dry in winter, and I can totally see how something like psoriasis would get worse. Less humidity and less sun are probably big factors. Make sure you moisturize a lot and maybe speak to a dermatologist about winter skincare tips.

Ho na, winter mein skin dry ho jaati hai na? So psoriasis bhi badh jaati hai. Sunlight bhi kam milti hai. Yeh normal hai aise cases mein. Doctor ko dikhao, woh sahi creams ya medicines denge, haan.

It must be difficult when it flares up with the season. Many skin conditions are sensitive to weather changes. Just remember to take good care of your skin and consult a doctor for specific treatment.

That sounds frustrating to have it consistently worsen in winter. I know how health anxieties can creep in when you see things worsening. It's totally understandable to feel worried. Please get it checked by a dermatologist, they can give you proper guidance and ease your mind.

Psoriasis can be tricky, and seasonal flare-ups are common. The lack of humidity and sunlight in winter are significant factors. While these are common triggers, you should definitely have it checked by a skin specialist to ensure you have the best management plan in place.

Don't make my mistake and ignore it. I thought it was just 'winter skin' for too long. Psoriasis needs specific care, especially when it's seasonal. Get to a good dermatologist now, they can give you tailored advice and medication that really helps during those colder months.
