Why do i get dandruff in the winter?

As soon as the weather gets cold, my scalp starts getting super dry and flaky, and I develop really bad dandruff. I've tried different shampoos, but nothing really helps. Why does my dandruff get so much worse in the winter?

Winter dandruff is very common because of dry air and hot showers, but it's important to rule out conditions like seborrheic dermatitis. If a regular anti-dandruff shampoo isn't helping, it's best to consult a dermatologist. Don't let it worsen.

Winter often exacerbates dandruff due to dry indoor air, hot water showers, and reduced scalp moisture. The common culprit, Malassezia fungus, can also thrive when the scalp's moisture barrier is compromised. Using a medicated shampoo with ingredients like zinc pyrithione or selenium sulfide is often recommended. If persistent, a dermatologist can offer a precise diagnosis and treatment plan.

Yeah, winter can be tough on the scalp. Dry indoor air and hot water showers can strip natural oils, making your scalp flaky. Keep your body hydrated from the inside out. Also, make sure you're getting enough healthy fats in your diet, good for skin and hair health.

This is a very common question, dear! Winter makes our scalp dry, just like our skin. The cold weather outside and the heated rooms inside strip moisture. Try using a mild anti-dandruff shampoo and avoid very hot water for hair wash. Also, massage your scalp with a little warm oil before washing.

Yaar, winter mein toh normal hai. Dry air hoti hai na, aur garam paani se nahate hain. Plus, cap wagera bhi pehente hain. All this makes your scalp dry and flaky. Actually, for me, a good oil massage with coconut oil helps before washing. Just try to keep your scalp moisturized.

Sardi mein toh sabki khopdi sookh jaati hai beta. Hawa mein rukhaapan hota hai na. Thoda narial tel garam karke lagao, aur garam paani se mat nahao. Dheere dheere theek ho jaayega. Ye toh aam baat hai.

For diabetics, skin and scalp can sometimes be drier or more prone to issues. Winter dryness aggravates dandruff for many. While it's not directly related to blood sugar, keeping your overall health in check and staying hydrated is important. Use a good moisturizing shampoo and avoid very hot water.
