Why do i feel more tired when i sleep more?

My problem is, if I sleep for more than 7 hours, I wake up feeling extremely tired, sometimes even with a headache. I actually feel better on less sleep. Why does sleeping more make me more tired?

Oh, I totally know this feeling! I used to think more sleep meant more energy, but nope, often felt worse. What helped me was figuring out my ideal sleep window, usually 7-8 hours. Also, try to wake up at the same time every day, even weekends. Consistency is key, believe me. Don't nap too long either.

Sometimes oversleeping can disrupt your body's natural circadian rhythm, making you feel sluggish. Just like too little sleep, too much can also throw off your internal clock. Gentle morning stretches and deep breathing can help awaken your system gently, irrespective of sleep duration.

While suggestions here might offer insights, for a persistent issue like this, a medical professional's opinion is irreplaceable. It's always best to consult a doctor for personalized advice.

Yaar, this can be tricky. Before jumping to expensive sleep studies, first try tracking your sleep patterns for a week. Note down when you sleep, wake up, and how you feel. Sometimes just identifying if you're consistently oversleeping helps. If it's still confusing, then a general doctor can advise on necessary, cost-effective tests.

This is often a sign of disrupted sleep cycles. Oversleeping can actually make you feel more sluggish. For optimal productivity, aim for 7-8 hours and try to wake up at the same time daily. If this fatigue is really impacting your work or daily life, don't delay a doctor's visit. It's better to address it quickly.

Feeling groggy after extra sleep is actually quite common. It often happens when you sleep past your ideal sleep cycle, especially if you're in deep sleep when the alarm goes off. Try to maintain a consistent sleep schedule, even on weekends. Also, make sure your sleep environment is good. If it's persistent, a doctor can check for any underlying issues.

Yaar, this happens to me! Like, if I sleep for 10 hours, I feel like a zombie. But if I get around 7-8 hours, I'm good. Actually, I read somewhere it messes with your sleep cycles or something. It's weird, but it's true for many of us. Try to find your sweet spot for sleep duration.

As someone with thyroid issues, I know that fatigue, regardless of sleep, can be a symptom. If you're feeling tired even after sleeping more, it might be worth getting your thyroid levels checked. It's a simple blood test. Always keep up with your regular doctor appointments and discuss all your symptoms.
