Why can't i sleep at night even when i'm tired?

I've been working long hours lately, and I'm absolutely exhausted by bedtime. But the moment I lie down, my mind starts racing, and sleep just won't come. Why can't I sleep at night even when I'm tired?

Oh, I totally get this feeling. It's so frustrating na? When your body feels exhausted but your mind just won't shut down. I used to cry sometimes because I was so tired but couldn't sleep. It feels like a betrayal from your own body.

Is this a common thing? I also feel this sometimes, like my body is ready to crash but my brain is just buzzing with thoughts. It's almost like a mild anxiety when I try to sleep. Does anyone else get that feeling?

Sometimes our minds are just too active even if the body is tired. Have you tried some light pranayama before bed? Like Anulom Vilom for 5-10 minutes. It really helps calm the nervous system and prepares you for sleep. It worked wonders for me.

Same here! It's like your brain has a party of its own. I tried everything – warm milk, no screen time, essential oils. What eventually helped was a warm bath with some Epsom salts and reading a physical book, not on a tablet. Hope you find your fix soon.

Haan, this happens a lot, especially with stress. Your body is tired but your mind isn't relaxed. Try to create a consistent bedtime routine, even on weekends. Dim lights, avoid heavy meals close to bedtime, and maybe some light stretching. Be patient, it takes time to re-train your body.

I totally get it, it's so frustrating! You feel like you've run a marathon but your eyes just won't close. Maybe your mind is still processing the day's events. Try listening to some calm instrumental music or a sleep story. Hope you find some peace and sleep soon.

I used to face this nightly, it was a nightmare. What really worked for me was fixing my sleep environment first – dark room, cool temperature, no phone in bed. Then, I started journaling before bed to get all my thoughts out of my head. Seriously, try the journaling, it’s a game-changer.
