Why breast pain before menstruation?

Every month, a few days before my period starts, my breasts become really sore and sensitive. Is this normal? What causes this breast pain before menstruation?

Ho na, this is very common. Mostly it's because of hormonal changes that happen before your period. Estrogen and progesterone levels fluctuate, making breasts feel tender, swollen, and sometimes painful. It's a normal part of PMS for many women, but if it's too much, do talk to your doctor.

While it's very common to have breast tenderness before periods due to hormonal changes, I always believe in getting anything new or persistent checked by a doctor. Just for safety, you know? It gives peace of mind to rule out anything else, even if it's likely just hormones.

I've definitely experienced this myself, it's quite uncomfortable. Many women find it's just hormonal. I used to try warm compresses and reducing salty food before my period, and sometimes a comfortable, supportive bra helps a lot. It's usually normal, but if it's severe, your doctor can suggest practical solutions.

Oh, this is a very common experience for many women! It's usually due to the hormonal fluctuations (estrogen and progesterone) that occur in the days leading up to your period. These hormones cause changes in breast tissue, leading to tenderness, swelling, and sometimes pain. It's known as cyclical mastalgia. Staying hydrated and reducing caffeine can sometimes help, but consult a doctor if it's severe.

My daughter also complains of this sometimes. It's very common, beta, due to the hormonal changes before menstruation. The breasts become swollen and tender. We ensure she wears a comfortable bra and sometimes a warm bath helps. But if the pain is too much or there are any lumps, please see a gynaecologist.

Yeah, that's super common for many women due to hormonal fluctuations leading up to their period. The estrogen levels rise, causing breast tissue to swell and feel tender. While it's normal, ensure your sports bra is supportive even during this time. Staying active and eating a balanced diet can sometimes help manage overall PMS symptoms, including this.

Don't worry too much, this is a very normal part of the menstrual cycle for so many of us. The hormones, especially estrogen, cause your breast tissue to swell and become sensitive. It's cyclical, so it usually goes away after your period starts. Just make sure to wear a supportive bra and avoid excessive caffeine if it bothers you. If it's very severe, a doctor can help.

Oh, I totally get it! I just had this last week. My breasts were so tender and heavy before my period hit. My doctor told me it's totally normal hormonal stuff, called cyclical breast pain. She said to try reducing caffeine and wearing a good, supportive bra. It did help a bit, and once my period started, it was gone.
