Why am i still vomiting at 15 weeks pregnant?

My doctor said the nausea should have subsided by now, but I'm 15 weeks pregnant and still vomiting daily. It's really draining my energy and making it difficult to focus on anything. Is this just how it is for some women, or should I get it checked again?

Continuous vomiting can really mess with your blood sugar balance, even if you don't have existing diabetes. Make sure you're telling your doctor about everything you are able to keep down and if you're feeling lightheaded. It's very important to manage nutrition carefully during this time.

Oh, beti, some of us had it tough with morning sickness for much longer. My sister used to vomit until her fifth month! It's very draining, I know. But it does pass. Just focus on small, frequent sips of water and whatever bland food you can tolerate. And keep your doctor informed always.

Hang in there, it sounds incredibly difficult. Definitely keep communicating all symptoms to your doctor regularly.

Oh god, I just came out of this nightmare! I was vomiting till about 18 weeks. My doctor prescribed some anti-nausea meds which helped manage it a bit. Also, ginger chews and very cold water were my best friends. Please talk to your gynaec; don't try to be a superwoman and just bear it. There's help available.

While pregnancy can cause a lot of hormonal shifts, sometimes severe or prolonged vomiting can be a sign of other issues, including thyroid problems that might flare up in pregnancy. Make sure your doctor is checking your thyroid function tests along with other routine blood work. It's an easy thing to check.
