Why am i so prone to cavities?

Despite brushing and flossing twice a day, and regular dental check-ups, I always seem to get new cavities. My dentist keeps filling them, but it feels like a recurring problem. Why am I so prone to cavities?

As someone who manages thyroid, I've learned that overall body health impacts everything, including dental health. Sometimes certain deficiencies or conditions can make you more prone to cavities. Ensure your general health is checked regularly, especially if there are other symptoms. A good dentist will also look at the bigger picture.

Dude, same here! I brush twice, floss, but still somehow get cavities. My dentist said maybe my saliva isn't good enough or my teeth have deep grooves. Sometimes it's just bad luck or genetics, I guess. He told me to use a fluoride rinse.

Beyond brushing, what you eat and your general health really matter. For BP, I monitor my diet carefully. For cavities, it's about avoiding sugary snacks and drinks. Do you get regular dental checkups? Sometimes simple things like saliva quality can make a difference, which a dentist can tell you.

Even with good brushing, some people are just more prone. It could be your genetics, or perhaps the quality of your enamel. When you visit your dentist, ask them clearly why this is happening. A good dentist at a proper hospital or clinic will be able to explain thoroughly and suggest preventive measures beyond just brushing.

I totally get it, it's so frustrating when you feel like you're doing everything right but still getting cavities! It can feel unfair. Don't beat yourself up. Sometimes genetics or even certain medications can play a role beyond just brushing habits.

Oh, I'd be spiraling if I kept getting cavities! My mind would immediately go to some bigger health problem. It's okay to feel worried. But instead of stressing, maybe list down all your habits and medications to discuss with your dentist. They might find something simple that's causing it.
