Why am i not getting enough rem sleep?

I've been using a sleep tracking app and it consistently shows very low REM sleep. I always thought I was sleeping well, but I feel groggy throughout the day. Is this something to worry about?

As a working professional, I get it. Our schedules are crazy. I found that sticking to a strict bedtime, even on weekends, made a huge difference. Also, cutting out caffeine after 4 PM helps a lot with reaching REM cycles.

Rem sleep is important for brain function. Are you stressed? Unwinding properly before bed is key. No screens for an hour before you sleep, trust me. It really helps.

Been there, done that. REM sleep is affected by so many things. Try to avoid heavy meals late at night and definitely cut down on alcohol if you consume it. A consistent sleep schedule is non-negotiable. Track your sleep if you have a smartwatch, it gives good insights.

I used to have this problem too. For me, it was too much screen time before sleeping. Once I started reading a physical book instead, my sleep quality improved significantly. Just sharing what worked for me, not saying it's a fix for everyone.

Please don't ignore this. I had similar issues and it turned out to be related to an underlying health condition. It's always best to consult a doctor, even for sleep problems. They can really help figure out the root cause.

Oh no, REM sleep is where all the good dreaming happens! ✨ Maybe try creating a super comfy and dark room environment? Sometimes a little meditation before bed helps calm the mind too. Hope you get those sweet dreams soon! 😊
