Why am i more tired when i sleep more?

I've been trying to get more sleep, so I started sleeping 9-10 hours instead of my usual 7. But paradoxically, I feel even more tired during the day. Why am I more tired when I sleep more?

Beta, sometimes too much sleep also makes the body lazy, na? Just like eating too much makes you feel heavy. Try to have a fixed time for sleeping and waking up. And don't sleep too much in the day. Our bodies like routine.

Many sleep trackers actually show you your sleep stages (light, deep, REM). If you're spending too much time in light sleep or disrupting your natural circadian rhythm by oversleeping, you can wake up feeling groggy. Try to maintain a consistent sleep schedule and track your quality, not just quantity.

That's a tricky one. With PCOS, sometimes fatigue is a symptom, and even with more sleep, you don't feel rested. However, oversleeping itself can also make you feel more tired. It's a fine balance. It's best to talk to your doctor, especially if you have an underlying condition like PCOS, to understand the exact cause.

I've definitely felt this. There are days when I sleep for like 10 hours and still wake up feeling like I pulled an all-nighter. It just leaves me feeling groggy and my head feels heavy. I can't really say why it happens, just sharing that I've experienced it too.

Oversleeping can mess with your body clock, plain and simple. It throws off your circadian rhythm, making you feel sluggish. Try to stick to a regular sleep schedule, even on weekends. That's usually the easiest fix.

As someone with diabetes, I know how important sleep is, but too much or too little can affect my sugar levels and energy. Oversleeping can actually disrupt metabolic processes, potentially making you feel more fatigued. Make sure your diet is balanced and consistent, and discuss this fatigue with your doctor.
