Who position on traditional medicine for malaria?

My chachi ji lives in a village where malaria is quite common. She keeps talking about some traditional remedies. I was wondering what WHO's stand is on using these for malaria, especially since it's a serious illness.

Hello everyone, I'm new here. Is it really true that traditional medicine can help with malaria? Like, are there specific herbs or practices that people use in India? I'm curious to know more.

See, traditional medicine for malaria is something people have used for ages, especially in rural areas. But it's always best to get a proper diagnosis and follow the modern treatment protocol a doctor prescribes. You can use traditional methods alongside, but only after talking to your doctor, okay?

Many people do use traditional remedies. But please confirm with a doctor for actual malaria treatment.

Haan ji, log use karte hain. Mere ghar pe bhi log kaadha wagera banate hain if someone has fever. But malaria is serious na, toh doctor ke paas jaana toh zaroori hai. Woh medicines toh leni hi padengi.

Beta, hamare gaon mein toh log nim ke patte aur giloy ka juice banate the bukhar ke liye. Thoda aram milta hai. Lekin agar zyada bukhar ho toh dawaai toh zaroor le leni chahiye, doctor se pooch kar. Tabiyat theek rehni chahiye.

Traditional medicine? Oh, I've tried everything from turmeric milk to ancient chants for my various aches and pains. For malaria, I remember my dadi used to say some leaves, but honestly, if it's malaria, I'm running to the doctor first. Who has time to experiment with serious stuff?

It's interesting how many traditional remedies are out there for various things, even malaria prevention. I think for confirmed malaria, though, modern medicine is non-negotiable. Maybe traditional things can support recovery, but definitely under a doctor's guidance.
