Who is the greek god of sleep?

I'm studying ancient Greek mythology for a project, and I came across the concept of gods for different things. Who is known as the Greek god of sleep? I'm trying to gather more information about him.

The Greek god of sleep is Hypnos. He's often depicted with wings and carrying a poppy or a horn from which he pours sleep-inducing liquid. His mother is Nyx, the goddess of night. It's a nice bit of mythology, good for calming the mind before bed!

The Greek god of sleep is Hypnos, son of Nyx, the goddess of night. He's often linked with dreams and rest. It makes you think about how ancient cultures personified natural phenomena like sleep; it highlights how fundamental and sometimes elusive good sleep can be for us even today.

It's Hypnos! I just looked this up last week when I was researching good sleep habits for myself. Learning about mythological figures associated with sleep was actually quite calming. So yeah, Hypnos is your guy for ancient Greek sleep power!

The Greek god of sleep is Hypnos. He is the personification of sleep and resides in a cave in the Underworld. While interesting, for actual sleep issues, consulting a medical professional for diagnosis and treatment is always the recommended approach.

My daughter loves Greek mythology, so I know this one! It's Hypnos. He brings sleep. For kids, a good bedtime routine, a warm bath, and reading a story helps more than any god though. Practical steps are key for peaceful sleep.

Hypnos, the Greek god of sleep! Man, I wish he'd pay me a visit more often. Maybe he needs my address? 😂 Seriously though, any deity that brings good sleep is a hero in my book right now.

From what I remember from school, the Greek god of sleep is Hypnos. It's a fascinating bit of history. For my own sleep, I've found a consistent bedtime and avoiding caffeine before sleep works best.
