Who first sang fever?

I've been having these strange episodes of sudden, intense sweating and feeling flushed, almost like a fever, but without actually being sick. It's been happening off and on for a few weeks now, especially at night. What could be causing this 'fever-like' sensation? Is it just stress?

Oh, this is a classic! I always associate 'Fever' with Peggy Lee, but I heard someone else sang it first. Am I right? Did anyone else get confused by this or is it just me overthinking my music knowledge?

The song 'Fever' was first sung by Little Willie John in 1956. Peggy Lee's version is probably the most famous though! It's amazing how a song can get so popular with different artists. If you have a fever for real, just ask your doctor clearly about the cause.

Little Willie John first sang 'Fever' in 1956. Peggy Lee's version is more iconic, but he was the original. Many artists covered it over the years. Good song, timeless.

It was Little Willie John, man. But everyone knows Peggy Lee's version more, right? Same with so many songs, the original sometimes gets overshadowed. My dad always tells me about old songs.
