Who discovered the cure for tb?

My neighbour is currently undergoing treatment for TB, and it's a long process. We're all praying for her recovery. I always wonder, who was the first to find a way to truly 'cure' TB, changing so many lives?

Oh, this is a tricky one because it wasn't just one person, right? It was a combination of antibiotics over time. Did anyone else get confused by this initially too, or was it just me?

From what I've researched, there wasn't a single 'cure' discovered by one person. It was more about the development of various antibiotics like streptomycin, isoniazid, and rifampicin by different scientists over the years that led to effective treatment. Very interesting history!

Honestly, at this point, I'd thank anyone who discovered a cure for anything, especially if it meant more sleep for me! But yeah, it was a bunch of scientists with antibiotics, not one single 'aha!' moment. So many complex diseases out there.

Actually, the 'cure' for TB came through a series of discoveries, primarily the development of various antibiotics. Streptomycin was a big one, discovered by Selman Waksman and his team. It's important to remember it's a multi-drug regimen now, not just one pill. Don't worry, treatment is very effective if followed properly.

Haha, if one person 'discovered' the cure, they'd probably have a statue taller than the Statue of Unity! It was a team effort over time with antibiotics, thankfully. So no single superhero here, just a lot of persistent scientists. Good thing it's treatable now!
