Who defined mental health?

I'm doing some research for a presentation on mental health awareness. I'm looking for a foundational definition of mental health and wanted to know which prominent organization or figure first defined it comprehensively.

Namaste. Mental health is a concept that has evolved over time, defined and refined by many psychologists, psychiatrists, and global health organizations like the WHO. It's not one person's definition. Through practices like pranayama, we learn to bring balance to our mind and emotions.

Mental health, like physical health, has been defined by various medical and psychological bodies, most prominently the World Health Organization. It's about emotional, psychological, and social well-being. Eating a balanced vegetarian diet can also help support mental clarity, though it's not a sole solution.

Hey, mental health isn't defined by one single person. It's a broad term that's been conceptualized by numerous researchers, psychologists, and health organizations, like the WHO, over decades. It basically refers to your emotional, psychological, and social well-being. Don't worry too much about a single definition.

I used to panic a lot thinking about what mental health actually means. But then I realized it's not one strict definition by one person. Organizations like WHO have given comprehensive definitions, emphasizing well-being beyond just absence of illness. It's more normal than we think to focus on it now.

Haha, no one person woke up one day and said 'Aha! I shall define mental health!' It's more of a collective effort over time by smart folks in psychology and medicine. Think of it as a group project, but for centuries! Jokes aside, it's about our overall well-being, not just 'no pagalpan'.

Mental health is a concept developed and refined by numerous psychological and medical professionals over time. The most widely accepted definition comes from the World Health Organization (WHO), focusing on a state of well-being. It's not attributed to a single individual. Focus on what it means for your daily functioning.
