Which month to start exercise during pregnancy?

I'm expecting and trying to stay active, but I'm a bit confused about when to start. My doctor said light exercise is good, so I wanted to ask, at which month is it usually recommended to start exercising during pregnancy?

See, if you were exercising before pregnancy, you can often continue with modifications. If you're new to it, start really slow, like just walking. Best to ask your gynaecologist, they can tell you what's safe for *your* specific case. Don't push too hard.

You can start light exercise usually from the beginning, if your doctor says okay. Just listen to your body.

My wife was advised to start mild exercises like walking or light yoga from the second trimester. The first three months can be a bit tricky with morning sickness, so taking it easy then is fine. But always get clearance from your doctor; every pregnancy is different.

This was on my mind constantly! My doctor said that if you're healthy and it's a low-risk pregnancy, you can actually start (or continue) from the first trimester itself, but very gently. Things like walking or prenatal yoga are good. Just avoid anything too strenuous or with a risk of falling.

While exercise is good, balancing it with a nutritious diet is also super important during pregnancy. My sister was told to stick to light walks and prenatal yoga, and only after her first trimester. She focused on plant-based proteins and fresh fruits too.
