Which arm hurts prior to a heart attack?

My neighbour recently had a heart attack, and he said he felt some unusual pain in his arm a few days before. I'm trying to understand these early signs. Which arm typically hurts before a heart attack?

My husband ignored his left arm tingling for days, thought it was just muscle strain. Then one day, it got worse with sweating. Please, if you have any persistent arm pain, especially with other symptoms like chest pressure or breathlessness, go to the doctor immediately. Don't make his mistake, it was a very close call.

Haan, I've heard it's usually the left arm, sometimes even goes up to the jaw or back. But my aunt actually felt it more in her right arm and she's a woman, so I guess it can vary. The main thing is to not ignore any unusual or persistent pain, especially if it feels different from a normal muscle ache.

Bete, aksar toh baye haath mein dard aata hai. Aur kai baar, thoda sa gas ya acidity bhi aisa lagta hai. But agar tez dard ho, aur ghutan lage chaati mein, toh doctor ko zaroor dikhana. Ghar mein thoda nimbu paani ya ajwain try kar sakte ho gas ke liye, but dil ka mamla hai toh risk nahi lena chahiye.

Generally, it's referred pain in the left arm, shoulder, or even jaw. But symptoms can be atypical, especially in women. The point is, if you're suspecting something serious, don't Google, just rush to the ER or call a doctor. Time is critical in these situations.

Look, if you're getting any persistent arm pain that's out of the ordinary, especially with chest discomfort, don't wait for it to get worse. Get an ECG done immediately. It's a quick test and can rule out major issues. Better to lose an hour at the clinic than risk your health.
