Where to place tens unit for neck pain?

I wake up with a stiff neck almost every other day now. My physio suggested using a TENS unit for relief. Could someone guide me on the best placement for the electrodes on my neck?

Namaste. For neck pain, TENS can sometimes offer relief. You usually place the pads on either side of the spine, near the painful area, or on the shoulder muscle that feels tight. Remember to also practice gentle neck stretches and pranayama to release tension. Always consult a professional for proper guidance.

Neck pain can be really bothering. For TENS, generally, you place the pads on the muscles around the painful area, avoiding direct placement on the spine. If you have thyroid issues like me, it's crucial to consult your doctor before using any new device or therapy, just to be safe. They can guide you best.

Ah, neck pain! It's so common these days with all the screen time. For TENS, aim for the muscles where you feel the stiffness or ache – like your traps or along the sides of your neck, not directly on your throat or spine. Always start with a low setting. A good physiotherapist can show you the precise spots for maximum relief.

Neck pain can be very irritating. For a TENS unit, place the pads on the tense muscles, usually on either side of your neck, or where the neck joins the shoulder. Don't put them directly on your spine. If the pain is severe or doesn't go away, then definitely see a doctor, bhai. Don't delay.

Hello everyone. My neck pain has been really bothering me lately. So, for the TENS pads, it's okay to put them on the side muscles of the neck? Not too close to the front? And is it safe to use daily?

Neck pain is tough. TENS pads generally go on either side of the pain, on the muscle. Hope it helps.

TENS units can be a one-time investment for temporary relief. For neck pain, you usually place the pads on the muscle knots or areas of tension, often on the trapezius muscles or along the sides of the neck. But before buying one or using it, consider consulting a physio – a few sessions might be cheaper than buying a unit, and they can give tailored advice for your specific pain.
